The Cameroon Council of the Crescent Moon, CCCL officially confirmed the date after careful astronomical calculations, aligning with the sighting of the new moon. “The day will begin with special Eid prayers at mosques and open prayer grounds, where worshippers will gather in their finest clothes to seek blessings” Salam Abdel said. The highlight of the celebration remains the sacrificial slaughter of animals, a practice deeply rooted in Islamic tradition. When asked the essence of sacrificing animals and sharing. “It is first to eat and then share to friends, and the less fortunate ensuring that the joy of Tabaski reaches every corner of society,” another Muslim faithful added.
