Last Thursday, the University of Garoua formalized the academic supervision of IUATIF through the signing of a framework agreement and a specific convention.
The signed act marks the culmination of a process that allows this Private Institute of Higher Education to benefit from recognized academic and pedagogical oversight. The founder of IUATIF hailed this agreement as a genuine opportunity for opening doors to innovation, professional integration, and student entrepreneurship.
IUATIF comprises three specialized schools: the School of Agriculture, the School of Industrial Processing, and the School of Finance and Management. Within this partnership, the Higher School of Economic and Commercial Sciences of the University of Garoua will provide academic guidance for the latter school.
Speaking on behalf of the University, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Boubakari Oumarou, expressed his commitment to providing IUATIF with rigorous administrative and academic monitoring. He also recalled that this convention aligns with the University of Garoua’s mission to actively contribute to national development by strengthening the quality of higher education.
This is the tenth academic supervision agreement granted by the University of Garoua to a private institution, underscoring its growing influence in matters of university cooperation within the Central African sub-region.
The ceremony was attended by the representative of the Ministry of Higher Education, Mr. Abbé Ovah Serge Bertrand, as well as members of the university administration: the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, the Secretary-General, the Director of Academic Affairs, and heads of departments. Collaborators of the founder of IUATIF also took part in this symbolic event.
