Protestant churches in cameroon: Rev. Hamadina Salomon inducted council president

The induction exercise which was organized at the Akna Parish in Yaoundé, marked a new era in the council of Protestant churches in Cameroon.

Reverend Hamadina Salomon has been inducted as the new President of the Cameroon Council of Protestant Churches, CEPCA. This was during a service held at the Akna Parish of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon in Yaoundé. The ceremony was attended by the outgoing president and former moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, PCC, Rev. Fonki Samuel Forba, other religious leaders and thousands of Christians.

During the service, the outgoing president of the council, Rev. Fonki Forba who led the body for two mandates between 2018 and last year, expressed his goodwill and support for the incoming administration. “I give them my blessings, and I pray that their work should bear much fruit,” the former PCC boss stated.

“If you are a father and you deliver children, you pray that those children should grow, and those children should progress more than you did. And that is my prayer for them,” he added.

New chapter for CEPCA

Rev. Hamadina Salomon was inducted alongside his First Vice President, Billa Mbinga Alexandre and Second Vice President, Rev. Sokeng A Clement. The group which was elected in October last year, has a three-year mandate to run the council’s activities. Per officials, the induction marked the beginning of a new chapter in the leadership of CEPCA, committing the structure to its mission and values, with a focus on serving the spiritual needs of its members and the broader community.

The tenure is particularly expected to bring new initiatives and direction to the organization notably in the promotion of unity, cooperation and spiritual growth among member churches. With the outgoing president’s blessing, Rev. Hamadina Salomon is poised to take on the responsibilities of his new role and guide the organization towards achieving its goals.

As Rev. Hamadou Salomon begins his tenure, he faces the task of building on existing foundations while introducing new perspectives and initiatives to strengthen the organization. The event demonstrated the significance of effective leadership in shaping the future of religious organizations and their impact on society. With Rev. Hamadina Salomon at the helm, CEPCA is set to continue its work in promoting spiritual growth, unity, and service among its member churches and beyond.
