Music has long been a universal language, bringing people together and fostering creativity. For Ondoua Mendoula Astrid Steve, music is not just a passion but also a business venture.
Astrid Steve Ondoua Mendoula, a 33-year-old who hails from the Nyong and Mfoumou Division of the Center Region, is a shining example of how passion and determination can translate into a thriving business. Based in Endom in the Nyong and Mfoumou Division, Ondoua Mendoula is the driving force behind My talent team abbreviated at M2T, a music production studio making waves in Cameroon. With a degree in private law from the University of Yaoundé II in Soa, Ondoua Mendoula’s path to the music industry might seem unconventional, but his passion for music has been a lifelong companion.
The seeds of Ondoua Mendoula’s entrepreneurial journey were sown during his secondary school years, where he first began to envision a future in the music business. This early inspiration, combined with his deep-rooted love for music – fostered by his father from a young age – solidified his desire to work independently and contribute to the promotion of Cameroonian culture. It was not until 2018-2019 that Ondoua Mendoula took the leap and officially launched M2T.
Since then, the studio has steadily built a reputation for quality and collaboration. M2T has had the pleasure of working with talented choir groups such as JAPE Marie Cocker, JAPE SOA, and Belles Mélodies de Sangmelima. Additionally, M2T has provided a platform for emerging artists like King Arthur, and continues to strive for greater efficiency and impact within the industry. Ondoua Mendoula’s advice to aspiring young entrepreneurs is simple yet powerful: “Believe in yourself and in your dreams.
Above all, give yourself the means to achieve them. Take it one step at a time.” His own journey exemplifies this philosophy, demonstrating that perseverance and a focused approach are key ingredients for success. When asked why he chose this particular business, Ondoua Mendoula explained that it was driven by a combination of passion and the untapped potential within Cameroon’s music production sector.
He recognized an opportunity to make a significant contribution to a field ripe for innovation and growth. Ondoua Mendoula’s story is an inspiration to young Cameroonians seeking to forge their own paths. By combining his passion for music with a strong work ethic and a clear vision, he has created a successful business that not only provides him with independence but also contributes to the vibrant cultural landscape of her country.
