To avoid Fraud: SDF deploys 31,000 Agents to guard Cameroon’s Presidential Vote

The Social Democratic Front (SDF) has taken a major step to monitor the upcoming presidential election, submitting a list of over ten thousands polling agents to the national electoral body.

The party presented the official list to Cameroon’s elections management body, ELECAM, last Monday. This was a major step in their preparation for the presidential election. The list contained the names of more than 31,000 people who will work as polling agents for the party. Their important job will be to represent the Social Democratic Front party inside polling stations on Election Day. They will watch the voting process and the counting of ballots to ensure everything is done correctly.

This large number of agents means the party hopes to have a representative in almost all of the 33,000 polling stations across the nation. Having an agent present at a polling station is seen as a key way to prevent problems and ensure the vote is fair. In a statement, the party’s national communication secretary, Kejang Henry, expressed strong confidence in this plan. He wrote that “This presence will help protect votes and prevent electoral fraud on Election Day, and guarantee the SDF’s victory on October 12, 2025.” The party has proudly announced that it is the only political party that has managed to recruit such a large number of agents ready for the election.

The submission of this list is also a legal requirement that all parties must follow. A delegation of the SDF’s most senior officials led the visit to the election commission office. This shows how seriously the party is taking this matter. While this was happening, the party’s presidential candidate, Joshua Osih, was busy with his campaign in the northern regions.

He has been holding meetings with local communities and their leaders, listening to their concerns and sharing his ideas for the country. The party’s main strategy has a strong focus on the grassroots level, meaning they are working to connect with ordinary voters and protect the election process at every single polling station. They believe that for an election to be trusted, every vote must be counted fairly and in the open.

By placing a trusted agent in nearly every location where people will cast their ballots, the SDF aims to make sure the process is transparent from start to finish. This major effort by the party sets the stage for an election day that will be observed very closely by all sides, as the country watches to see what will happen.
