The Bafoussam Regional Hospital has announced a free surgical campaign for patients suffering from cleft lip and palate known commonly as a harelip. The campaign which will take place at the Bafoussam Regional Hospital from April 8 to April 9, 2025, will offer a life-changing opportunity for individuals and families affected by this congenital malformation.

Cleft lip and palate is a birth defect that occurs when the tissues of the lip and or palate do not fuse completely during pregnancy. This condition can cause difficulties with feeding, speech, and hearing, and can also have a significant impact on a person’s self-esteem and social integration.
